A battle between Sonic and Shadow leads to destruction within Central City. Sonic is defeated and is put into a coma. G.U.N abandons Shadow to face trial against the citizens of Central City, lead by someone who would do anything to see the hybrid hedgehog behind bars or worse. With the world slowly turning against him all humans have turned their back to the hedgehog and what is worse he refuses to defend himself, he hasn't spoken a single word since the battle with the Blue Blur. With his back being put into a corner and all the odds against him there's only one team that will stand up for the black hedgehog and that's none other than the Chaotix Detective Agency.

I originally made the story as a short story which was the first chapter of this story however I soon decided to make it have its own book as it is hard to make this into only 2 parts! Their wish comes true when Sonic is found dead, and his "friends" don't even sniffle. A year later, they have a rough time fighting Dr. Eggman, but things only just get even harder...and complicated, too. Sonic has joined Dr. Eggman, but the former team could barely see any of the former hero. Will they realize their mistakes? Can they find their apology? Can Sonic forgive them? Most importantly, can they bring back the hero they threw away so long ago?

during a huge fight to the death with Mephiles Sonic was kicked to the side mid fight to the point where he passed out and went unconscious. Sadly, they did not have any chaos emeralds, which would've made the battle easier, shadow was left to be the only one fighting the big problem, Mephiles...while the others were fighting his goons shadow manages to defeat Mephiles but not without a brutal beat down, even for the ultimate life form he had his limits. When the fight was done, he was left there, two semi broken legs, a deep, deep cut in his torso, and cuts between his left arm. The others who are fighting alongside G.U.N have been left with bruises and many scars, but nothing compared to what the seemingly immortal ultimate life form had. After the battle was done and the world was saved shadow was still crippled, Amy was determined to make sure shadow will be perfectly healed and take care of him for as long as she needed to her motherly instincts wouldn't let it happen any other way also her will as well, and maybe a tiny bit of her early teenage crush on shadow. They grew closer to each other after spending a full week of recovery awkward, funny and sentimental moments that occurred during the week they had spent together also finding out what their true feelings are for one another.

Sequel of "First Impressions" I strongly recommend to read the first part before reading this. It's been one year since Sonic disappeared. During this year, Shadow began to wonder if the feelings he had for Amy were real or even worth fighting for. Amy is sure that Shadow does not love her as she knows that the black and red hedgehog has no memory of their past together. Then, an opportunity rises within the boom team to get their Sonic back, will this new mission help recover the broken ties between the hedgehogs? Or will this cause the total downfall of Amy and Shadow's relationship?
