Changes and Chances

Daniel, or Danny as some call her, is a very quiet, reserved, distant, twenty one year old woman. Due to previous incidents, she was left alone with her grandmother, her younger sister Grace, and her inner turmoil. She’s terrified of letting anyone get close to her, but eventually it was inevitable when one day as she was swimming in the lake beside her house, she saw people arrive at the home next door. Earlier that spring the neighbor’s beautiful abode caught on fire, and now contractors were appearing to fix it. But, then suddenly, there was a splash that came from nearby. When she looked over, she saw a man. Little did she know, that man would change her life.
