Nova has always been an introvert kid. Since her mysterious separation from her parents, she's lived alone on the streets of Jasper, surviving by her wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. The girl has no memory of her past, but is welcomed by her two brothers, and is given the name Nova. 
But as three years had passed by for this young girl, and even the ordinary has a way to become the extraordinary. What happens when an ordinary event leads her to descover an entire alien race? Furthermore, what happens when they come to need her help to save the entire planet? Her bold decision have saved others, but forever alters the course of hers. Is she ready to save the world? Because this burst of courage will be more than meets the eye.

Especially as they find her to bring her back to the base for safety, it becomes immediately apparent that she is different from humans. And she also poses a danger to the humans they have taken in for safety. However, they learn that she is the way she is because of evil, cruel men who kidnapped her as a toddler and forced her to endure cruel experiments to the point she is no longer considered a human. Especially as she has a side to her that requires her to hunt for a specific food source. And the autobots learn that she has no choice when the beast side of her fails to resist the scent of fresh meat. And unfortunately, it also shows that the girl has zero choice in the matter. Despite that, Jack Darby finds himself in a peculiar position with the girl. Even though he is terrified of her, the girl seems to be intrigued. He does not understand at first, until she eventually explains the possible reason. He finds himself uncertain by the development, but realizes that he might be able to help her. The autobots are now stuck fighting a war with the autobots, and learning of the horror of the girl's past. They search for the people responsible for the illegal experimentation that has caused the girl to lose her identity, and become something people would see as a monster. Worse still, the fate of her own life depends on these people. It becomes obvious when the human part of her slowly begins to disappear, losing control of herself and sense of self, until the autobots figure out how to help her and keeping her away from the monsters who destroyed her. Only not knowing if they could ever fix her without stripping the very human side of her forever.
