Theocracy was Incongruous

The world of Idabris was at peace until someone opened Kaliburn's Garden, unleashing a devastating weapon dubbed fiend magic and by extension releasing the spectralich into the cosmos. The spectralich used to be human until the magic corrupted their very essence. Idabris' main mode of defense is the Sanctrine, celestial warriors who were able to close the garden once before. Now the fiend magic proves to be too powerful. Meanwhile, the Queen-Goddesses have seemingly gone rogue in searching for a solution.

As a last resort the goddesses birth the Chosen Ones - a quartet of starry-eyed siblings specifically engineered to purge the magic and seal the gates of Kaliburn's Garden once and for all. However, upon stepping foot on Idabris, they encounter a motley group of mercenaries known as the Yurtela Brigade. Their objective? To collate data on the fiend magic and spectralich and to catch a wandering magitech named Lateph, who they suspect was the one to open the Garden.

The Chosen Ones are running on borrowed time. If Kaliburn's Garden isn't sealed soon, then the world as they know it will be destroyed.

The fate of Idabris doesn't merely rest in the hands of the Chosen. Neither does it linger in the grasp of the Yurtela Brigade or the goddesses.

Rather, it lies in the hands of those who actively seek to mold it how they see fit.
