Theocracy was Incongruous

1083 R.E. Second Earth was at peace until someone opened Grotto's Garden, unleashing a devastating weapon dubbed the fiend magic and by extension releasing the spectralich into the cosmos. The spectralich were once humans; the magic corrupted their very essence. Second Earth's main mode of defense are EGAotU and the Supernal Crusade. These celestial beings were able to close the garden once before. Now the fiend magic proves to be too powerful. Meanwhile, the Queen-Goddesses have seemingly gone rogue in searching for a solution.

As a last resort EGAotU birth the Seekers - a quartet of starry-eyed siblings specifically engineered to purge the magic and seal up the gates of Grotto's Garden once and for all. However, upon stepping foot on Second Earth, they encounter a motley group of mercenaries. Their objective? To collate data on the fiend magic and spectralich and to catch a wandering magitech named Lateph, who they suspect was the one that opened the forbidden Garden.

The Seekers run on borrowed time. If Grotto's Garden isn't sealed within the next year, then the world as they know it will be destroyed.

The fate of the world doesn't merely rest in the hands of the Seekers. Neither does it linger in the grasp of the mercenaries or goddesses.

Rather, the world lies in the hands of those who actively seek to mold it how they see fit.
