Her jeweled eyes shimmered in the bright light of the fire, but she couldn't move her body even an inch. She could only feel the heat threatening her pale skin as the crackling sound evaded her ears. Her hair floated along the draft of wind, feeling the uncomfortable warmth cover her like an unbearably hot bath. The screams of her loved ones echoed through her ears, but she didn't flinch, scream, or cry. The girl simply sat there with a blank expression on her face before a slight smile crept onto her face.

"Farewell.." Was all she could say before her mind was clouded with thoughts as she lost consciousness. The strange feeling of warmth covered her, not that of the flames that burned scares into her arms and feet, but the warmth of thin arms that wrapped around her. 

The last thing she saw were those ocean blue eyes before it all faded into black.
