Pasilong (Puhon Series 1)

"It was unexpected. Maybe it was fate, or even destined." If I was asked how does it feel to meet someone like him, that would be my answer.

He was my unexpected discovery. The man I would thanked God for.

It was rainy season, I remember the rain was pouring, and there he was- waiting for me in front of Tandang Sora's door. Holding two closed umbrella while his white uniform was drenched from the rain.

I remember- at that time, I had this thought in my mind.

Sa iyaha ra ko magpasilong.

Na, bisag unsa pa ka bug at ang uwan or bisag unsa pa kakusog ang hangin- sa iyaha ra mopasilong akong tibuok pagkatao.

Looking at him in front of me now, my lips can't stop from forming a grin.

Niduol ko sa iyaha, "Wow, graduate na siya da. Yahaya." i said jokingly.

He give me a small little smile that just makes the whole place brighter.

"Unsay graduate ba nga layo pa man ko."

"At least layo naka."

Silence envelope us after that.

The silence was deafening.

It was uncomfortable.

It was somehow embarrassing.

"Ga dala kag payong?"

Nilingi ko sa iya, thinking I was not the person he's talking since ga tan-aw man siyas bintana.

"Ako?"

Nilingi pud siya sa akoa. Our eyes met. His brown eyes is as fascinating as ever.

"Kinsa pa man diay, Ma'am?" He then give me a big grin, teasing me. just as how he always did.

I was in daze for a moment. I miss him so much.

"Naa man. Taga bitbit nalang sa payong wala." I said jokingly and averted my gaze far away from his.

"Mangita pa diay kas layo nga naa ra man ko diri?" The words was spoken lightly. More like a whisper but loud enough for the two of us to hear.
