Bent, Spindled, Mutilated

Injury changes memory, not just the memory of the individual trauma, but the very nature of the mind.  The hooks and loops distort and I can’t hold on as I once did.  The misses and disconnects become more frequent, then they become expected.  Emotional fluff-ups do not suffice, the hardware is damaged and a positive attitude is advisable but the pliers are a necessity.  Some things are easier to break than to repair, in fact most things are easier to break, no skill required, though some take it on as skill, most destruction is ignorant or accidental, nothing personal just a part of a pain filled landscape.  Direct intervention is not the same as hands-free degradation, though both have their cost.  Redemption, restoration, is sought from all comers.  Possibilities and probabilities stack; action is a relief, whether or not it is a fix.  I take a breath to face the final blow, for when the cost adds up and I look for recompense all I hear is the check is in the mail.

This book starts where Survivor left off only from a much more changed stand point and learning and living one day at a time. That doesn't, however, mean that I am cured of ME or Myalgic Encephalomyelitis; which I was diagnosed with in September of 2012 being bedridden for 2 years (2013-2015). This collection of poems will be written as I maneuver the road to recovery with the help of holistic medicine. I hope to raise further awareness of the illness as well as how peace, faith, spirituality, positivity, and forgiveness lead to a less stressful existence. I also do not let this illness define me so be prepared for some silly and out of the ballpark poetry as well as when days get harder because though the rebirth itself was through divine intervention, it wasn't a cure-all. I will end in this particular book on August 1st, 2016. It'll be a year since the Rebirth. The bitter air stung my skin like wasps, but still I laid there my legs bare and my body now trembling, did I care though? It seems everywhere she goes there's trouble lurking around the corner. There's no escape, and no entrance, it only is. Not only is her mate not what she wanted but yet again a curve ball is thrown into the mix leaving Zara's life in jeopardy. What will happen to Zara will she over come this new problem? Will her life ever be normal? Will her mate change? Or better yet does she want him to? A/N: This is my first story I haven't plotted it I'm just writing and seeing where it gets me.
