Human Feathers: Black and White

Damien Jude, a sixteen year old boy, gets introduced to secret, new civilization where he shortly figures out that he is the only one that can save the entire world of Aviana from a cunning, blood-thirsty, power-hungry man. The man (otherwise known as Master Wallow), upon discovering Damien’s existence, does all he can to weaken Damien’s morale and kill him with pleasure and almost succeeds every time, but somehow all his cleverly strategized plans fall through at last second due to sheer dumb luck, or the help of Damien’s trusty companions and Rebecca, his star-crossed lover.
In the midst of Damien’s inner turmoil and hellish new life, many new events take hold. He has some new experiences with what it means to be in love. He even discovers more about himself that he wouldn’t otherwise have learned, like the fact that his past was intertwined into this civilization and its secrets long before he could remember.
But among these good and bad life-changing findings, he also finds ways to get into some big trouble with the head of the hidden city in which Damien resides, Bill Penny, who resents him for his stubborn, reckless, teen-aged qualities, and also for the fact that Damien (although he doesn’t realize it at first), is destined by prophecy not only to kill Master Wallow, humanity’s arch nemesis, but also to become the King of the entire Avian civilization.
