Disgruntled with his celebrity lifestyle and the false sense of the world it brings, infamous celebrity Chef Jonathan Rutherford Quaird decided he'd had enough of the limelight and ventured off to greener pastures following the discovery that his live-in girlfriend had been cheating on him with his hit show's top producer and the production manager, annoyed with fame his joy of cooking leads him to unexpected places once he puts some distance between the press and himself by going to an unassuming diner where a local waitress, by the name of Verity Anne Coleman, who specializes in dessert dishes gets his undivided attention. Wishing to cook and assist the budding Chef in the making of her own cooking career, he finds himself applying for a job as the new dishwasher under an assumed status of being a regular schmuck in search of a job.
