Anticipating a potential third world war, the yakuza clans in the 1950s secretly collaborated with scientists worldwide to conduct genetic experiments on citizens and animals through random sampling. This research revealed rare beings with extraordinary energy fields, known as "superhumans" or 上人 (shōnin). However, as the power of these superhumans grew, a faction of doctors involved in the experiments attempted espionage, ultimately breaking away to form their own organization: the Japan Superhuman Association (JSA). Now, the yakuza and JSA stand as rival forces.

In the current year of 2023 in Tokyo, an extraordinary woman named Hikari Aizawa emerges as an unexpected hope amidst the shadows. Experimented on as a child, she discovers her body has the surprising ability to stretch beyond human limitations without any affliction. Harnessing her powers, Hikari navigates life's challenges by concealing her abilities, striving to lead a normal life. As the JSA is under renovation, Hikari enrolls in a prestigious school.

The son of the founder of a yakuza organization, Ivan Nishiguchi, is desperate to find a girlfriend, until he encounters Hikari. Eventually, Ivan discovers her identity and wants to help Hikari with her heroic duties. How will they face off the forces of evil whilst living a normal life with the yakuza and their allies, potentially finding out their relationship?
