As aspiring Pokémon trainer Rachela and her pet Bagon gear up to start her journey across Sinnoh, she daydreams of commanding dragons in battle against fierce opponents. But when one dragon, the Renegade, takes an interest in her, her entire career path derails as she is plunged into the Distortion World, only coming back ten years later. Her new goal: to take down Team Galactic and restore order to the ruined world left in the wake of her disappearance. Teaming up with Lucas, her best friend from childhood, and his trusted Pokémon partners, Rachela and her own Pokémon allies race across Sinnoh to breathe life once more into the broken planet.
