Heavy spoilers for the base game and Artificer's campaign ahead. ------------------------------------- "The Rain shall fall, and so shall every scavenger in this damn wasteland" "Ok, but do we HAVE to kill them?" A story where a PACIFIST of all slugcats ends up in the decaying, rot filled wasteland known as 'Rain World'. Your frail frame and sickly nature will do you no good here, and your vow of peace is nothing but a detriment to you. Sick, starving and having a broken leg isn't the best case scenario in such a place, but when you see that tell-tale sign of another slugcat. A faint hope blossoms. Or A Pacifist (You) ends up in Rain Word and finds Artificer. Notes: You go by They/Them, so everyone can suffer while reading my story equally. Artificer is female in this fanfic. I'm sorry male Arti fans. Swear warning: The Artificer is not known to be very kind with words. Suicidal Ideation: This will also be present, incase you have trouble with this topic, it may be best you refrain from reading this. Blood and Violence: This book will not shy away from depictions of blood, due to me being pretty new to this type of story, don't expect a full blown detailed depiction of every injury, wound or malady that is present. Music: Music will be offered to you. Most of it will be ambience, with the occasional fight theme here and there. Mature Rating: The Mature rating is for the themes of death, existential dread and other issues. There won't be any seggs, don't let it fool you.

I had barely made it a step when I say a man walking towards me. He too had a digital clock thing on top of his head too, except his had todays date, September 10th, and his timer read, 00:00:12. I didnβt know what to expect, but I wanted to see what happened when the clock clicked down, so I stood and watched him. 00:00:09, 00:00:08, 00:00:07, 00:00:06, 00:00:05, 00:00:04, 00:00:03, :00,00:02. I didnβt know what to assume for 00, but I watched patiently as he looked both ways and crossed the road, and then, just like clockwork, 00:00:00, and a car came speeding out of nowhere, and knocked the man down. He was dead. Somehow, between him dying and me freaking out, I had an epiphany; I saw when people were going to die. And then I officially had my first panic attack since my mom died. β Boysenberry Moonchild Roxburgh is your average girl who happened to get hit by lightening, starts seeing when people are going to die, meets a soul reaper and his pissed off half brother, gets hired by death and is being constantly annoyed by a stalker black cat and her dead mother who she can now see.
