"One Nation, Under Jupiter" is the story of Diagoras Cinna, a journalist out to explore the impact religion has had on modern society. Diagoras travels around the city of New Antioch, interviewing the city's most pious residents, from priests to political figures to ordinary citizens. As he continues his report, Diagoras risks more and more in his quest to attack the gods. His employers question the wisdom of printing anything that would draw the Emperor's ire. His slave Servius, himself a faithful believer, begins to question his loyalty to his master. Even Diagoras' own mental condition worsens, as he suffers the consequences of living as an atheist in a world where blasphemy is a criminal offense.Complete
