Derick finds himself bedridden and mute in a strange hospital after what appears to be a horrible accident. With no memory of how he got there or even where 'there' is, Derick must dig into the darkest corners of his memories to try and remember how he ended up in this condition. As events unfold, Derick starts to discover that not all is as it seems in this mysterious 'rehabilitation center.' His only contact is with his caretakers: a set of twins who won't talk about the facility until he's gone through the Three Stages, a Dr. Green who he still hasn't met face to face, and a cold-hearted surgeon whose voice is enough to scare anyone. As the months slowly turn into years, Derick finds himself being moved from room to room as his condition seems to be getting somehow better and worse at the same time. What are the Three Stages his caretakers talk about? Will Derick ever fully be healed? Will he be able to leave this strange place? What demons will his memories reveal? Will he finally unravel the mystery that is Greenfield? This dark psychological thriller will keep readers guessing until the very end.
