In a world recovering from a twenty year war, vampires treat humans as animals. Humans are bought and sold, and used for whatever purpose their master wishes. They are pets. 

The newly crowned king of this world is taken by surprise when his sister returns home - threatening his throne and everything he has built.

A pair of humans are bought by the king's sister and her fiance, and try to get accustomed to life outside of the cells. Soon, they discover that their new owners may not be what they seem, and something strange is going on within the royal family. Something the vampire king wants desperately to remain secret.

(DISCLAIMER): I am aware that there is a very popular story called Vampire's Pet written by @Cannoness here on Wattpad, and while this story is not based off of that in any way, there are similarities in the theme and I want to acknowledge that a small amount of inspiration was taken from Vampire's Pet.
