There are many things that can happen in a fantasy world but getting two mates and that too from the same rank was not one of them.
Being an Alpha is expected to get a mate who is an Omega or a Beta but the dynamics don't work so compromise . But getting an Alpha mate and two for that matter was an abomination.
Kayden despised those who went against dynamics and he always wanted a female mate as his family was homophobic and he too. He despised himself for being like them so he decided not to confront his feelings.
