The former leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, has retired to planet earth to live out the rest of his life. However an ambush from an organization that hunts down cybertronians like him, known as M.E.C.H had him turned into a critical state, Optimus hid in a rural and secluded part of Germany.
Due to the current state of Optimus Prime's systems and mechanical body, he transformed into his vehicular mode and put himself into stasis. But a few androids that he would come to know as T-Doll's stumble upon him, now Optimus must find ways to survive in the current time. Will Optimus be able to live the peaceful life he wished for? Or will something sinister arrive to claim his spark?

In another dimension, Optimus Prime, otherwise known as the passionate Autobot leader, discovers a strangle signal that leads his team to a femme who curses his name and wishes him dead. After trying to help her overcome some sort of brainwashing, Optimus realizes that the truth is more complicated than it seems. As the two of them work together, they both face their weaknesses and the many trials thrown at them by an interdimensional threat and some domestic ones. Optimus has a harsh life as the bearer of the matrix and Temptest struggles to be the symbol of freedom she once was. Alongside them, one Megatron works to protect his adopted family while the other tags along, fighting and testing them in hopes he'll find what he lost in his own dimension. The bots imagine that a terrible villain is on the prowl, but struggle to figure out who.
