Loki wanted to fall into the Void to end his life, but even the best-laid plans can go awry. Ending up as the forcefully adopted son of Thanos was not supposed to happen. ///

"My father's ships can travel through the Void. We came across your body and rescued you."

His hands clenched into fists, the gesture bleaching the knuckles white. "The Void knows how to craft scars on skin that are unique to surgical torture, then?"

"Your scars aren't unique," Gamora said evenly. "There are trillions of tons of debris in space. It's very likely that you were struck by some of it and that caused the scarring."

"Possibly," Loki said. "All the same, would you like to try answering my question again? I don't mind different answers." ///
