Sara Luzio has always known that it is her duty to safeguard humanity from the creatures that lurk in the shadows. But when her clan perishes in the line of duty, Sara is forced to continue their legacy alone.

On top of navigating her grief and trauma, Sara realizes her supposed safehouse isn't so safe. Vampires live down the street. Yet, unlike their blood-crazed kin, they exhibit a curious sense of... humanity. 

Despite her instincts screaming for her to be wary, Sara is drawn to them. In particular, a copper-haired vampire with a half-cocked smile. The longer she researches the coven, the more she finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about vampires. 

Sara must decide whether to follow her heart or her hunter's instincts. Her journey will challenge her preconceptions, ignite forbidden passions, and force her to consider what it truly means to be human.

Notes: Strong sexual content will begin in book two. Polyamory to be hinted in book one, but come to fruition later in the series (book three). Main themes will revolve around morality, culture, and legacy.

As if she knew how desperately he needed her, Raya used both her hands to try and unbutton his khaki shorts. Colton hoped she would make quick work of undressing him, and let loose her hips to start on undressing her. He vaguely knew that he didn't want their kiss to end, so he didn't bother with her shirt, and instead found the button and tiny zipper on her shorts. Someone, somewhere cleared their throat. Colton heard it, and knew that he should stop, and acknowledge the other person in the room. He knew it, but manners be damned, he needed to finally feel this soft, strong willed, very magical, exceedingly beautiful woman wrapped around him. He needed her so badly, he didn't care if it was his own mother that was watching them.
