2 years have passed, and graduation day finally dawns at Ever After High. Apple White has always trusted in her story as the the next Snow White, yet everything feels different now. Her closest friend, Raven Queen, is ready to follow her own path as a musician, and Apple's heart aches at the thought of life without her.
Then Raven vanishes.
At first, the school and various kingdoms rally with frantic search parties, investigations, and candlelit vigils. But as days turn into weeks, and weeks turn into months, hope fades, and the world eventually gives up on her. Desperate, and haunted by the past, Apple refuses to accept this as her last chapter.
As Apple goes on a search for her friend, she discovers a dangerous being hidden within the cracks of the fairytale world. A being who is rewriting every story into one single identical fate-safe, predictable, and stripped of free will. With every tale rewritten, the past is lost. Haunted by her childhood trauma, Apple must learn to step beyond the safety of her story to save Raven, and fight for a future not written in any script, but one where freedom, love, and choice can survive.
