Before she ends up fading from Ruby's mind, with Ruby gaining the girl's memories.

There is also something strange going on, why is it that characters, that she hasn't met due to not being a huntress, and even her own sister, seem to know a lot about Ruby from the original show? Why are they keeping her away from Ozpin? 

Ruby hears that there is a new military being set up near Vale and decides to join when she hits the age of 16, with her being 14 right now. Though she soon meets a team that trains her to be ready for the military, soon becoming protective of the teen that they basically adopted her as their niece. Ruby keeps the team that is training her a secret from everyone.
