"By the Hells, Astarion," Tav complained. "You muddle my wits. I believe you missed your own calling to be a sorcerer." He offered a hand, hoping to bring their strange interaction to a close. 

Seizing the hand Tav offered to him by the wrist, Astarion swung to his feet lightly, laughing. "It's good to know that even your hardened heart isn't immune to my considerable charms. Tell me, was merely the allure of my body that pleased you so?" He smiled meaningfully, tightening his grip on Tav's wrist as he stepped closer. "Or perhaps, darling Tav, is our dear leader the kinkier type? Was it the rope on my hands or the knife to my throat that awakened the dragon?" 

Tav was watching him with wide, wild eyes, breathing hard and fast again. "I... Astarion, forgive me, I meant no offense-" The vampire moved even closer and the sentence squeaked to a premature end. Tav swallowed hard and tried again. "Merely the friction of the horse and your body against mine, Astarion, truly." His eyes begged the other man to believe him. "I apologize most sincerely for any offense caused."

Astarion smiled back at him with eyes like a shark scenting blood in the water. "My dear sorcerer, how much do you know of vampire spawn such as myself?"

Goodbye Astarion [Astarion X NB Tav] by ItsFinnleyMan

Astarion ascended just like he wanted. Tav helped just like he asked. People change just like they were warned. Fair warning: Ascended Astarion is the villain, Tav frequently disassociates and justifies Astarion's behavior to themselves and the other companions. Domestic violence is implied but not depicted out-right. Verbal abuse is kept to a minimum. Two major characters will die eventually. An alternative epilogue at Withers' party. Still in progress but I feel inspired and it's a short one. I will probably update frequently I haven't written fanfiction in 11 years. I watch Tav as she strides through camp, her fiery red hair flowing around her shoulders, sunlight glistening off her golden breastplate. She is strong, determined, and brave. The whole camp love her, the men tripping over themselves to be close to her, ready to follow her into battle at a moments notice. She is beautiful, the epitome of grace.... What a bitch I shake my head, ashamed at my petty thoughts. Jealousy has always been a weakness of mine. But I cannot help but compare myself to Tav, everything I am not. Surely there was a mistake? Why would the Dream Visitor help me? A 36 year old mother, her adventuring days behind her? I'm just a regular person, a nobody? What benefit could I possibly bring to this group of incredible heroes? There has definitely been a big mistake.

As the Ash Settles, is my take on what happens to the group of companions after saving Baldur's Gate. As the ash settles and the drinks are pouring a familiar sensation washes over our Tav, the very same one that compelled her to attack poor Alfira in her slumber, perhaps defeating her sister was not just denying her father but in fact taking back her rightful spot as leader of the Bhaalspawn, perhaps Withers was indeed wrong. Questions left unanswered while still having to find a special artifact for Astarion to walk and in the sun and still beating heart to fear Karlach. Rated M for Mature. Will include adult behaviors, some violence and well just stuff from the game itself. Don't worry though not a finger will be laid on the goodest boy Scratch.
