Following the emotional whirlwind of Nya merging with the sea, Cole and Celine struggle unsuccessfully to figure out what they are. After finally confessing his feelings to Celine, Cole is left reeling as Celine flees the scene, she herself swept into a turmoil of uncertainty.
Finding temporary refuge staying with Skylor and working once again at Chen's, Celine soon finds herself pining after the company of her fellow ninja. Specifically one Earth Elemental. But instead of facing her inner demons, she turns to anonymous crime-fighting, nothing more than a shadow in the night.
Cole, for his part, is left in a swirling storm of emotion, grappling to understand what went wrong. Though he tries to continue as if all is well, Cole is ever haunted by everything he should have done differently.

(May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet... Non-canon ships are not implied but take it as you wish, just not greenflame because no.
