the title is long, I know, but the story itself is a short little ball of fluff because I love fluff. (there's also mature stuff being talked about but it's mostly just fluff. I don't write smut. at least not anymore-- I'm talking to you, 13-year-old me. put down that pen! You little pervert!)
this is a story about communication, mental health, maturity, sex (education, kinda) and a cute couple (IMO). it won't be long and it won't have as many characters as my other stories but it will be the most vulnerable piece of writing I'll ever share with a bunch of strangers online.
And it's supposed to be in the YA or NA genre but since it doesn't exist in the available categories, I've tagged it as Teen fiction.

The Bet
"How can you say that?!" I yell at him. "It's simple Korinna. You and I will never be friends again. And you can sit there all you want and pretend that I'm the one who broke up our friendship when in reality YOU were the one. He snaps back at me. "Fuck you, Arlan!" I slap him across the face before leaving the and slamming the door behind me. Korinna and Arlan used to be the best of friends since they were five years old. Then something happened during Freshman year that made him resent her and start becoming her bully. Now as Seniors, this will be their last year of ever having to see each other and Arlan is about to inherit his parents money that he is to receive when he not only turned eighteen. His brother came back home to make sure he is doing everything he is supposed to. There's just one problem that could ruin him being set for life.
