Emery Ashford had a smart mouth. She was known for it. As an outgoing teenager, Emery was always hanging out with her friends and with a lack of filter she always said what was on her mind. Especially if it had to do the irritative jock.

she hated him with every fiber in her body. She hated his charming nature, his arrogance, his lack of care, and the way he got on her nerves. But the thing she hated most, although she'd never admit it, is that she would stick up for him. Not like he ever need it.

She wanted nothing more than to get away from him. But it's completely impossible. He lived right across the street.

Everything about senior year had gone smoothly until,

Bang!

Jackson Riley had a pretty mouth. And a pretty face too. As the school's football captain, he's always been the talk. For years, he's been entertained by the smartass that is Emery Ashford. She was a pain in his ass, but he knew he'd be bored without her. When he ends up giving Emery another another concussion, he's determined to make the last two months of her senior year hell. As if he hadn't been doing that already.

There's only one thing in his way.

Concussion or not Emery isn't going down without a fight. It seems the more she doesn't want him around, the more he happens to be. She thinks her life is spiraling into the ground...but maybe she has it all wrong.

With an offer she can't refuse and a heat of the moment bet, it's time for them both to realize that there's a thin line between love and hate. And with an injury like this, that line is surely to blur.

I can't help the moan that escapes my mouth at the taste of her tongue against mine, and my hips pulse reflexively up to meet hers. But before I can reach the heat emanating from her core, she grasps my neck in her hand and pushes me away, pressing me into the couch, my breath coming out in pants once I'm disconnected from her. It takes a few seconds for my dazed eyes to make out the expression on her face, and I notice that, while her lips are swollen with my kisses, her eyebrows are pulled forward in frustration. "Kai." She lowly whispers my name and pulls the hand that isn't tightly grasping my neck out to caress my cheek. I can't tell whether to bask in her attention or obsess over the fact that I did something wrong. "Stay still," The right hand clasping my neck tightens to the point where I gasp for breath, but quickly releases soon after. My dick jumps in my briefs at the feeling and I blush, secretly hoping she didn't notice. By the way that her eyes light up and her eyebrows release to a more neutral stance, I can tell that she did. But there's no time to acknowledge that because her next words and actions render me breathless. "Remember, I am in control." She states, and then pushes her pelvis so that her heated core presses right against my aching cock. *** In which an inexperienced college freshman catches the eye of a sinful Dominatrix who wants to take every ounce of his innocence... It Burns Within Us | Wildfire Series Book 1 by amelierhys
1 part Complete Mature
{CURRENTLY UNPUBLISHED} 10/2/25 Edit: this book has been removed from Wattpad, but the characters live on in a published series titled The Wildflower Series, which can be found on Amazon and in bookstores. Alive at Night, Awake at Dawn, Attached at Heart are available now. Already at Risk, which follows Collins' brother Cameron, is coming on October 16th. Thank you so much! When a college freshman with a learning disability and a reputation collides with a straight-A, straight-laced girl in the dorm kitchen one night, he sees the darkest parts of himself reflected in her. But the two of them resist acknowledging their hidden truths, and their forbidden connection, until ignoring it all becomes too perilous. *** Bren meets Madie during his first week at college, and he's certain he should have nothing to do with her. First of all, Madie has a boyfriend. And second of all, Madie's boyfriend radiates a toxicity that Bren only just escaped from growing up. But knowing what he should do doesn't help him at all. Madie might be completely entwined with her abusive boyfriend, but Bren quickly becomes determined to unravel her. But can Bren open Madie's eyes to the truth before it's too late? *** "Don't go back to being treated like you're not real." Madie's lips parted, and I couldn't read the expression on her face. But we were so close now. "You're real, Madie. Feel it." "I feel it," came her breathy reply. When it came to her, I was weak. My legs couldn't hold me anymore, and I slid down. Landing on my knees, I kneeled back against the bottom of the cold door, letting it cool my hot skin. "Good girl." The words were more of a pant; I could barely catch a breath with the way my heart was racing. But I had to tell her, talk to her. "Now, never forget it. Never forget the way you feel right now, Madie." **MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY** This story contains sensitive topics such as abuse, violence, and explicit sexual content.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. I would have gotten off of him but I realize that he wasn't moving to get away from me. No, He was moving his lips against mine." °°°°° Aiden Moore isn't extraordinary. He has average looks, he is OK with sports, and his only strong point is that he is smart (although that doesn't mean much to his fellow classmates). And, of course, his virgin ass has never had a girlfriend, let alone a crush. It seemed as if he would never find someone. That was until he met her, Scarlett Hale. She was the most beautiful girl you will ever meet. Kind, sweet, and one of the few people with a higher GPA then him, she was amazing and Aiden imagined that she would be all his. Once Aiden gets rid of her boyfriend, Aaron Tyler. The most annoying guy you will ever meet, Aiden gags just thinking about him. The man is smoking hot and makes Aiden's dreams of getting the girl to seem very impossible. So what would happen if Aiden gets involved with the wrong person? Will Aiden get the girl? Will he fall short? Or will he fall into the arms of a guy who is in love with the girl he loves? _______________________________________ WARNING: First book EVER! "Fuck." He whispers into my neck, sending a thrill of excitement through my body. His lips still smothered kisses over my neck and his hands roamed my body, starting at my chest, going down to my stomach. Caressing my soft skin, his thumb trailed circles on my groin before slightly slipping into the waistband of my jeans. My breath catches in my throat as I pull at the hoodie that covered his chiselled body. Understanding, Jacob pulls it off in one swift movement before attaching his lips back on my neck. Sucking and biting it before flicking his tongue over the sore spot. A quiet moan leaves my mouth and I clasp my hand over it, denying any noise to escape. "You drive me fucking crazy, Aria." ---------------------------- Aria Bailey finds it hard to fit in. Her parents are always busy and never have time for her. She lives alone at her family home and has top grades in all of her classes. But being a 17 year old friendless nerd comes with its disadvantages. Aria has to make a tough decision by choosing if she would rather be with Jacob and be bullied by her mind for eternity, or to leave and be left alone, exactly how she wants to be. -Strangers to lovers -Right person, wrong time
