The waves sloshed onto shore, the grainy sand being swallowed by the clear blue water. Fishing boats knocked and rattled the paint peeling dock as the storm shook the earth. I, of course, wasn't affected by the weather, I found it relaxing and spiritual. My toes wiggled and dug into the cold sand as I walked on, the stormy wind nipped at my blonde hair having it curl against my face and neck. I enjoyed this weather.
The ocean rose, the waves splashing further up on shore. The water caressed my feet but that didn't last long as the storm spit out massive waves destructing homes along the shoreline. My eyes widened as the water pulled me in, restraining my body in an embrace. This I did not enjoy. Panic settled into my core as I fought against the current, the water whipping at my naked legs and my sandals now lost along with shipwrecks.
As I watch a wave pick up momentum I exhale deeply then inhale, close my eyes and dive. This is it.
