The main storyline is based on the activity of a team of agents from the Bureau of Para-Natural Investigations (BPI)
The Bureau of Para-Natural Investigations, or BPI, is a covert government agency tasked with monitoring, studying, and engaging supernatural threats to protect humanity. Headquartered in a state-of-the-art facility and led by Director Samuel Grant, the BPI investigates reports of paranormal activity across the country. The agency maintains extensive databases and resources related to magic, monsters, and other phenomena beyond typical human experience. When supernatural forces escalate beyond containment, the BPI deploys specialized field teams like Deacon Reese's crew to track, study, and neutralize these dangers through capture or elimination.
Operating outside typical legal jurisdictions, the BPI treads carefully to avoid exposure and consequences. The BPI forms the first line of defense preserving humanity against rising occult threats from vampires, demons, dark rituals, and powers beyond mortal comprehension.
