Aster Carr never wanted to be a half-blood.  

Unfortunately for her, she didn't really have a choice.  For years, she divided her time between various foster homes and Camp Half-Blood, being able to find a home with the many campers who had no mortal parent to take care of them.  She fought in the Second Titan War, as well as being closely involved in the Giant War.  She's found friendship and love, and feels about as safe and fulfilled as a demi-god could ever hope to feel.
