In 2012, the world has become widely populated with a new species: the migas. Half-human half-animal, these migas are considered a lower class to humans, and if not wild, are often enslaved or prejudiced.
    
    On January 11, 2010, a young migas is abandoned by her clan, left to be either captured by humans or die of some other cause due to her slight disability- her inability to smell. She is taken into custody of scientists not long after. She escapes the facility to Austin, where she is found weeks later by a man named Geoff Ramsey. Now in the care of a higher class, she worries if he discovers her migas blood, then she will be once again abandoned.
