Imagine an alternate timeline after the battle in New York. Loki is under the influence, controlled by an unknown entity. That last attack might have been enough to knock him out of it. He's unsure of himself, choosing to remain silent. Fearful of what may happen if he did not take the fall. Even if he told the truth no one would believe. What if he tried? Chance at redemption >> Loki wasn't expected to fail, and yet he couldn't be happier. For the first time in months when he awoke it was quiet, he could hear himself ere was no nagging in his ear, pulling him in all directions, conflicting his every decision. He wondered if that beating was enough to sever the connection. Despite the pain, he felt like himself again.

Alright, let's do this one last time. My name is Peter Parker. I was bitten by a radioactive spider-you guys all know the rest. I now have a secret identity, along with more responsibility than any high schooler should have. For the past two years, I've been the one and only Spider-Man. Balancing everything hasn't been easy, but I made it work. Most of the time. During those two years, I've been trying to prove myself to my mentor-who also happens to be the one and only Iron Man. You know, an Avenger. Stopping a few bad guys here and there without totally wrecking my life in the process, while trying to keep my grades up. Things in my life don't ever go according to plan, which usually means I make things more complicated than they need to be. But hey... I'm still here. I'm trying. But lately, things have been getting a little too weird. First, the nightmares. They don't feel like ordinary dreams-more like warnings. Like I'm supposed to be ready for something. Then there's the other thing. Something is happening to me-like something under my skin is trying to crawl its way out. I don't know why this is happening or if it's possible to stop it. No matter how much I try to ignore it, I fear it's only going to get worse.
