The Last Daughter of Hyphae

While Atta and other fighters from her village are lured into a deadly trap, everyone from her home is abducted and sailed to the Great City--including her dearest friend. To find support she rides south in search of a brother she hasn't seen in seven years. But along the way, unexplainable telepathic and telekinetic powers emerge that she tries to ignore. She doesn't want her mother's madness. Her brother isn't who she remembers, and soon Atta finds herself swept up in a resistance army who promise they'll find her friend. All she has to do is join their cause, and steer clear their loyal witch who sees Atta's powers and just wants her dead.

Inspired by the steamy legend of Alexander and Thelestris, The Last Daughter of Hyphae is a feminist story of friendship, betrayal, magic and love set at the forested edge of a bourgeoning empire.
