It has just reached 2020. Everything was fine, until a new notice came up about something called the COVID 19.
People started staying inside, prices sky-rocketed, and stores became easy to rob.
It was chaos, people were in need of money, food, water, and toilet paper.
The main character, Mae. Just turned 22. Fresh out of college. It was then people would wear masks, some even wore an entire Halloween mask to hide their faces.
The nighttime was dark sure, but ever since the virus started going around, it was darker.
One day, a siren on everyone's tv immediately rang. A group of people announced it was a week of purge.
Mae sat down with her family watching as they announced it starts the next morning at dawn. Soon, the city would buy out an entire store just for protection and access to knives and weapons such as guns.
It was only day 1, and dead corpses laid on the streets, people looting any place they could get their hands on.
