Someone else's lullaby gone
By james a. galgano
No wisdom found within the endless river of unstoppable lies.
From the fringe right or left with chip on shoulder maybe rightfully so
Adrift with at the same time upon some passing cumulus nimbus no destiny found.
As our worlds unwound from whence, we came or at least never knew.
While clinging to some dangling perch where hawks forever seek
Peering beyond all brim and branches upon which heaven speaks
Listening to only songs songbirds have forgot to sing.
Within this unfound nest where songs now frowner ring
Like the sad dream we have yet to awake there caught within time songs we long to bring without a helping hand to cling
Such is this life we find ourselves within unable to wrent, one thoughtful reply
Alas here we all await sleep where dreams search endlessly your heavenly sky!
