Mira Hanover doesn't remember much of her life before she began her service to the queen, at the age of thirteen, but it doesn't matter. Since then, Mira served as a soldier, the captain of her guard, and for the last two years, her favorite assassin. 
For Mira's newest mission, she isn't assigned to kill someone, but rather to find the Greenwood Witchdoctor, and bring her to the queen so she can serve the kingdom. What Mira wasn't prepared for was Belladonna Fox, the queen's granddaughter and fourth in line for the throne to be sent on the mission with her. Mira is given the instruction: Either turn Belladonna into something useful or make sure she has an accident and never comes back. Mira wasn't supposed to become friends with Bella and was certainly wasn't supposed to develop a fondness for the Witchdoctor, Asa, but now Mira knows her past, and she knows there's no going back. 
Mira either has to fully commit to the queen, and allow herself to be purged of all "weakness," or she can rebel, and perhaps, reclaim her birthright as queen of pirates, and find her family.All Rights Reserved
