Youthful Wishes
High school is the period of your life where you feel older and independent. It's also the time where you're restricted and forced into a slim expectation by standards and norms. High school is the last bit of youth you have before you are let loose into the sticky web of life. Within your last years of schooling, your habits and behaviors are what determine if you are a fly or a spider (at least that's what some people say). Clare Carter and her new group of friends are kicking off the school year in a powerful way as they battle new conflicts and the process of becoming high school students and young adults. Each character has their own unique story and background that will represent how they take each situation that comes up. They must tackle drama that takes place at school and home, as well as survive the activities that Freshman get to experience (homecoming, clubs, heartbreaks/relationships, the stress of doing well in school and figuring out a plan after they graduate). This group of friends are scheduled for a wave of realization if they think they'll stick together throughout all four years of high school. This story is created with my OCs that I have fun drawing. This is not an attempt to be a grand author or writer. I am merely using this opportunity as experience for fleshing out my characters and their personalities and backgrounds. The maturity setting was set to ON because any mentions of depression, suicidality, anxiety, sexuality, etc.. were placed under the mature label. Only the kids of the rich and elite go to East Chapel Academy. Marcus Garrett comes from a large family of success, his parent are rich, his grandparents are rich, and he's destined to be rich too. He's gone to East Chapel since he was in kindergarten, he's smart, good looking, not to mention popular. He has any and everything he's supposed to want, at least he thought he did until he met Nia. Nia Owens comes from the wrong side of town, her parents aren't rich or elite. She goes to public school, where the bricks are crumbling and the textbooks are falling apart. It was all she knew until an acceptance letter to Easy Chapel Academy fell into her lap. I meet him at the right time. Or a completely wrong one, depending on the perspective you look from. I am not the one to fall head over heels in love with someone and he is not the guy someone should even fall in love with. But there are all the witty comebacks, the unplanned meetings at the bar, the rides on his motorcycle, all the laughs we share before the morning ... It does something to both of us. It changes us to the extent where we suddenly can't live without all of this. He is not a good guy. He's as bad as it gets. But he's perfect for me. I want to believe our story is a modern fairy tale with a more realistic ending. You won't get the princess-prince bullshit from me. You'll get it how it is with no sugar-coating.
