Shi Qingxuan, formerly a radiant beauty both as a male and as a female and the Wind Master presiding for many years, is now living as a mortal once again, and since his fall from grace, he has lived his new mortal life as a beggar with a lame leg. He had been unknowingly involved in an incredibly taboo ritual; his ill fate of being hunting by the Venerable of Empty Words was traded for the glorious fate of ascension into the heavens as the Wind Master, which resulted in an innocent yet unfortunate man experiencing a terrible life as well as a life cut short. Ship Sinking Black Water, known in identity as He Xuan, was originally fated to ascend to Heaven as a scholar. However, all that changed when his fate of grandeur was robbed of him when the blasted Water Master Shi Wudu committed a most taboo ritual and sacrificed him for the sake of allowing his younger brother Shi Qingxuan to ascend to Heaven. And he mercilessly got his revenge on the Tumor himself who swapped their fates.

Two years after He Xuan completed his revenge and Shi Qingxuan returned to life as a mortal, and a beggar at that, fate brings the two back together. Can they really work through the trauma and betrayal?
