Shiori of Shinata

Ashley is distraught when an accident turns her life upside down. To top it all, she discovers that the new transfer student, Shinji, is not really what he seems to be...and neither is she. Not only does she have powers she never knew she had...but in following Shinji to his world of origin to pursue her forgotten past, she discovers that she is the princess and heir to the throne of the country of Shinata. Having been brought up in a different world with different customs, Ashley finds it difficult to fit into the shoes of Shiori Kiyoyama, her original identity. Unable to take the pressure following a fierce confrontation, Shiori tries to escape her new reality by running away. But when a serious problem that threatens to disturb the peace of Shinata crops up, Shiori is unable to ignore her feelings of responsibility towards the country, no matter how much she hates the life and customs of the aristocracy.
The story follows Shiori as she sets out on a journey to try and set things right again. As she searches for the answers she desperately needs to find and accept her role in this new world, Shiori wll end up finding much more than that in the experiences and friendships she makes along the way.
"Shiori of Shinata" is a heart-warming, adventure story which explores the uncertainties and rebelliousness of a teenager who desperately wants to break away from the adults' authority and be given the opportunity to shape her own future. The story follows her journey in which she slowly starts to understand that independence is not always as great as it seems to be, and that responsibility, compromise and sacrifice are part and parcel of what being an adult really is.
