Born without emotions, Emmaly had worried her parents that something was wrong with her. But all it took was meeting her two older brothers, Ben and Jin, for her emotions to be unlocked and become a normal child. Having so much love for their little sister, the two brothers always went above and beyond to give her the best birthday gifts. The Langit family were never involved with pokémon, but when Emmaly showed great love and interest in the pokémon Lucario, Ben and Jin absolutely had to find a Riolu for their little sister. It proved very difficult when they traveled to the Sinnoh region, however, as the Lucario species was in such high demand that hardly anyone could obtain one anymore. Feeling defeated and ready to go home, they are met with the legendary pokémon Arcues. The god of pokémon could sense their love and despair and gifted them with a fully developed egg. On her fifth birthday, Ben and Jin happily gave her the pokémon egg. The egg had hatched immediately into a Riolu, and Emmaly and Riolu loved each other at once. Peace would not last forever as the Langit family got invaded. Emmaly and her parents were forced to retreat as the two brothers held the invaders off. They were never seen again after that. At age thirteen, Emmaly takes Riolu and runs away from home to start her own journey. Join Emmaly and Riolu on their journey as they meet all kinds of pokémon, fight all sorts of battles, and search for clues to find out what happened to her favorite older brothers.All Rights Reserved

Angel Barnes wasn't your average 17 year old girl living in Vaniville Town. What you might not know is she was infact raised by Pokémon. How you may ask? Well, let's say she hasn't had the greatest life. Not only was she born an only child, but when she was born, her parents didn't want her so they gave her up for adoption. Going through life and already not knowing your real parents sucked for Angel because she grew up believing she was never meant to be loved. The orphanage took her and raised her until she was able to walk. After that, they took her to a park and left her there alone. Days went by and Angel was still at the park waiting for her foster parents but they never showed. She pieced together that she was abandoned...again. She had no parents, no foster parents, no friends, no love and no protection. By the time she was 7, she ran as far as she could and tried to raise herself but it was hard. When she ran off, not only was she exhausted, but hungry too. Whilst running, she collapsed from exhaustion. But a group of dog Pokémon not only managed to sniff her out, but they saw how little she was and raised her as their own. They took her to an abandoned cabin nearby and did everything for her. They raised her, fed her, bathed her, even stole things for her. By the time she was 10, she wanted Pokémon of her own. She started off with Fennekin before managing to capture 5 more Pokémon along the way...Including the Legendary Pokémon Yveltal himself... It wasn't easy, but Yveltal saw how truly hurt and broken Angel was and felt the same for being so misunderstood and unloved. He allowed her to capture him and they've had the strongest bond ever since and did everything he could to love and protect her. Now being 17, she still manages to live the life she can with her Pokémon and guardians, training, battling and well, surviving...but what happens when a couple of humans cross her path? What happens next on her new journey?

Whereas the character Blue (also known as Gary in the anime) is more of a frenemy than a rival. The main rivals would be Team Rocket Grunts - Cassidy and Butch as well as their Boss, Giovanni. Q - Is this story based on Pokemon Red or FireRed? A - The story has a few iconic moments from the games/manga but those events do not play a big part in the main story arc. Q - Is Ash Ketchum in it? A - The story takes place in its own universe. I try to bring some events from the games, the manga, and the anime. You get to see a different version of Ash Ketchum (close to how he has been depicted in the anime) in 2 chapters of this book. Q - Is Team Rocket the same as in the anime? A - While Cassidy and Butch are characters from the anime, they have a different overall character arc than in the anime. Team Rocket is darker than in any previous versions and has a purpose and a plan other than stealing. Giovanni's plan plays out slowly in the course of three books. Q - It has time travel? A - It does, time travel is hinted at in the first book with the actual "time traveling" in the second book. Q - "I hope the protagonist has a father, hahaha" A - Yes, he does. The character mostly appears in flashbacks but is an important character.
