For the fae, magic is everything: status, power, wealth, honor. For Vera Reite, a fae born with no magic, it is a shameful reminder that she will never amount to anything. Whispers of a fae-killing monster begin to circulate the Moon Court. It lurks in the woods, feeding off the mana of its victims. Those that go missing and find themselves at the mercy of the beast are never seen or heard from again. Fear quickly takes hold of the fae court; it's only a matter of time before their whole world is destroyed by this creature. However, it offers Vera a glimmer of hope. When she learns of it, she ventures into the wood to kill the beast, believing that she will be able to absorb the magic it has stolen. But the woods are as dangerous as the beast, and Vera soon finds herself lost. In a stroke of luck, she comes across an old manor deep in the forest where a strange boy is sealed away. If Vera wishes to slay the beast, she will first have to uncover the secret of the manor and its prisoner before it's too late. 𝐀 𝐟𝐚𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜. 𝐀 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭. A choice made for survival for their race. The war of the continents has settled down after many years, when the areas are very clear. For those who dared to take one step across the line of the Demon Kingdom... were sentenced either to death, or to become a slave. At that time each creature knew that the ruler of half of the world and one of the most powerful creatures living on Earth was the Demon King; Belial. To which was no greater being existing-- or was there? The wrongess, slavery and greed are reigning, but a change is about to happen. Justice is about to be made. Faith, just an ordinary young girl who has experienced the life of a slave. I'm Ivy Hilton, and I screwed up. Big time. One, I'm one of the most powerful wizards in my world, and the next, I'm half-magic, stranded in the mortal realm, and fighting for my life. Why? Because I thought I could outsmart another wizard who's just as stubborn and reckless as I am. Spoiler: I couldn't. Now, the only way to get home is to find some mythical place called the Garden of Stone. Yeah, it sounds made up to me too, but it's my only shot. Oh, and did I mention there are powerful beings-disguised as humans, of course-who want me dead before I can even get close? Fantastic, right? My magic's running low, I've got no allies, and the longer I stay here, the more I realize that maybe this whole mess is way bigger than me. But hey, no pressure. If I fail, it's not just my problem-it's the end of both our worlds. So yeah, no big deal.
