You had met Simon in the first year of high school. You guys clicked.
It just felt so right.
You two had been closer than ever, dating about 2 months after you guys had met..
High school flashed by and sooner or later Simon decided on his profession. Military.
You hated it, but you didn't want to tell him no because you knew he would listen.
"I'll write to you everyday, I promise." He said the day he left.
For a while he did, until you got a letter saying he could never write to you again....
After that everything fell out of wack.
You questioned everything, but some questions got answered. You found yourself. You changed your first and last name, distancing yourself from your family and choosing a more masculine name. You changed a lot, and so did Simon.

Why does life come with so many different possible answers to the same question? Which answer is the correct one and how do you know for sure? Finding your true self, amid all the decisions you're forced to make in growing up, is quite a battle, isn't it? I was doing okay. Really I was. Then I literally bumped into him and that was it. That was when everything changed. My life took a new turn and became an exciting adventure. I found myself swept along in a sea of change that I either had to swim along with, or sink and drown. It was a no brainer to swim but fully embracing the changes to the way I thought and felt was quite a journey. This is my story.
