The Phage has become a very real threat. As civilizations across the galaxy are assaulted by its ravenous presence, it's readily apparent that the Empire needs a breakthrough, something to stop this plague once and for all.

Spurred on by the humanitarian crisis of an attack on one of the biggest stations in Empire space, the crew of the Ghost are directed to find the coveted "kill switch" to stop the ancient replicator bots permanently. What they find, however, is a far more terrifying and existentially threatening truth than any of them could have expected.

This story is a fanfic of the Spectra series by Matt Lauth. You can check out the original series at https://twitter.com/spectraseries. This story doesn't intersect much with the main series plot, but might include some slight lore spoilers, and might be confusing if you haven't read the first two books. Also make sure to read the first book in my series, Echoes, otherwise you'll be quite confused.

Most characters are either made by me or present in Lauth's series. For a list of other characters, check the Acknowledgements in Echoes - there'll be an Acknowledgements at the end of this book eventually as well, but for now pretty much all of the non-OCs are reused from Echoes :)

UPDATE: I'm currently rewriting this story to take place in my own custom setting (Wayward), starting from book 1. Check out my Wattpad profile for further details.

18+ (Alien Love) Smut. Violence. Gore. Foul Language. The year is 3787, the Earth is in ruin, and the infectious spores plagues the world below. After many failed attempts to remove the spore infection and the intelligent lifeforms that brought it known as the Irinaut, several large ships were sent into space to save the human race, but some people remained. Those who stayed, either had no choice in the matter or were part of the expedition crews. The people who were looking for some sort of cure all. Some, scientists looking to communicate or even experiment on the Irinaut race. Though it wasn't only the infection they had to worry about. Infected Irinaut were aggressive, and finding one without the sickness at this point was seeming out of reach with no hopes of communicating. That is, until now. A group of soldiers had been left with a task of transporting precious cargo. After several facilities being attacked by the estranged Irinaut, a young soldier known as Raven, finds herself curious to why this Irinaut is so important in finding. The being wasn't like other's any of them had seen. They wanted to know how it was possible in the world that was nothing but desert, and infection. 0-Sa was also alone, which was unusual for the species. The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him. The team had one job, obtain and return the creature alive, but they would soon come to find out that the cargo would be more difficult to transport than they thought. (All art pieces within the book are original pieces done with AI for my readers.)

❖ Interstellar pilot and ex-adventurer Alex Gallegos must keep their team safe on an icy moon as sentient storms threaten to repeat the tragedy that ended their last career. ❖ Everyone in the United Inhabited Solar Systems (for some reason, UIS for short) knows to stay away from Mahaha. The icy moon is notorious for failed probe landings and research missions that end in tragedy: the only people to ever venture to its surface needed rescuing after just two weeks. When a prestigious research group decides they want a turn, they ask Alex Gallegos to lead the team. Perfectly qualified and haunted by their past, Alex accepts, hoping to make up for old mistakes and get just a little further from the earth they've left behind. Two months into the seven-month mission, the team is struggling with discontent, damaged equipment, and blizzards acting less and less like normal weather. As Mahaha moves out of range of help and the storms take on a more malicious character, Alex must face the one foe they could never have prepared for. Mahaha may or may not be alive. ❖❖❖ Complete. Wattys 2021 Shortlister. Standalone sequel (Rocks Can Dance) coming in 2023. Comments and critiques are both welcome and appreciated. I write characters from many different backgrounds, with many different experiences. If you share those traits and find that I have misrepresented anything, please let me know! I am feedback-friendly and here to learn :)
Humanity Endures by Evan_Armstrong

Desperation, ideals, greed, and hope - they all have a role to play in tearing the galaxy apart. The human race finds itself at the precipice; a mysterious, monstrous force threatens everything in the cosmos, and all the while, the unity of humanity's Empire threatens to shatter just when it is needed most. Never before has extinction been so tangible a possibility, and never before has exceptional courage, intellect, and luck been more needed. This is a story about more than just people, their ambitions, and their conflicts: it is a story about crisis, set in a universe where survival, for any side, and for anyone, may be impossible. It remains to be seen if the popular patriotic saying, "Humanity endures," will remain true - even for a week. -- If you wish you purchase a paperback version of this novel, you can do so on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Humanity-Endures-Evan-Peter-Armstrong/dp/B08P8QK86H. Welcome to Asteria by Untouched16

Now then. You're probably wondering what this place is? To answer that, we must go to the past. 4.5 billion years in the future from our current time, Earth's sun began to expand from burning up all its fuel. Humanity, having managed to get their act together and advance space travel, avoided their extinction and evacuated the planet, feeling their solar system out unto the stars. Many years passed by in stasis and in future generations. Eventually, humanity found themselves a new home. But alas, nothing worth having is easy to keep. Extradimensional entities known as Developers, named as such due to them being the closest biological thing you could get to a genuine god, appeared in humanity's new home. With their metaphysical, reality warping abilities, they changed the world over. Combining the new planet with 3 others in such a manner that multiple dimensions and timeliness were rolled into one like a bunch of star bursts that were pressed and twisted together before being shaped into a ball. Thus, it resulted in the reality bending world named Asteria! Strap in ladies and gentlemen, this is gonna get crazy. (Author's note: There are many references to other, more familiar games, movies, books, and others. This includes character names and back stories, weapons, character abilities, and even in universe power system mechanics that resemble or are inspired by other media. Every single one of these references, allusions, and inspired aspects reserve any and all rights to the original owners. The only things that I own here are the general lore of the world.) (I will also say this is a narrative story adapted from a TTRPG campaign that I am currently running with a system I made. Players may come and go as they please, which will result in characters disappearing from the rest of the story. I'll do my best to adapt to these occurances, but chapters may have length delays between them.) (Additionally, this story will take second place on my priority list.)

At first I thought I'd pick something a bit out of my comfort zone (so.... NOT SciFi for once...) to expand my horizon, but when I saw a prompt about time travel I was immediately inspired. Please keep in mind, all of this is WIP! The title, cover, and some of the content might change at any time... I have an outline and I worked hard to come up with a compelling and consistent story line, but due to the nature of the story (timey whimey stuff!) I might have to revise things a few times as I write. I'm grateful for any feedback and I hope you enjoy :)

The Silent Veil

15 parts Complete Mature

Their job was never easy, but at least assassination was comfortable for Lanada. Now Sam Bones from the STAR agency has evidence of their crimes. The agency isn't seeking punitive justice though; Lanada is wanted for their specific skillset in silent, tactical murder. While uncovering a corporate and government conspiracy, Lanada and Sam's rocky partnership grows stronger as they fight under the STAR agency, forced to face the ethics of their careers and the consequences of their decisions. After a chilling discovery about their war with a co-opted political movement, they must make a choice between their career comforts, or risking it all to reconcile with their pasts-both packed full with death. What to expect: Aliens in a grounded, realistic world; no space. A universe not reliant on capitalism, where stateless societies are the norm. Military escapades criticizing state control and its corrupting nature. Nonbinary protagonist who's sorting out some personal issues. Their gay best friend. The world's shittest dad, but the world's best STAR agent. This book is finished, has been edited several times, beta read, and is basically ready for querying. I'm holding off until I get some more feedback, and do some more editing.
