After surviving the attack on their home country as children, twins Elizabeth and Elias struggle to survive in a world not built for people like them. They spend their days stealing for a man who has no heart and just trying to make enough money to survive.
After a robbery gone wrong things start looking up for the two, they are given an opportunity. A fight to the death trial. One where the winners would be forgiven for all previous crimes, and would be able to join the elite team that was the Kings Assassins.

The world she lives in is a dangerous one, and such a life as hers rarely ends happily. Disclaimer: this is a short prequel, Sora's story does not conclude with this one. If you finish this book and go "oh, that's the end?" it's because it's not the end.
