Set in an alternate timeline after Season 3, Behind the Mask dives into the untold aftermath of Marinette's most devastating battle. Haunted by the memory of what her partner became, she pushes Chat Noir away-desperate to keep him safe, even if it means breaking both their hearts.
But heartbreak doesn't end with distance. Reeling from her rejection, Chat Noir unexpectedly finds comfort in someone else: Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Neither of them realize the truth-that Marinette is Ladybug, just as Adrien is Chat Noir.
Now, they're falling for each other's alter egos... without knowing it. As Marinette's trauma resurfaces in vivid night terrors, it's Chat Noir who stays by her side. Without realizing it, they're healing scars that they inflicted on each other. And the more she tries to protect him by letting go, the deeper she falls.
