For most of her adolescent life, Caroline's felt like second place to the perfect Elena Gilbert. Nevermind that she's the captain of the cheer squad, always plans the community and school engagement events..no, none of that matters because of the brunette teenager.

And now that she's lost both her parents, everyone is walking on egg shells around her because they're afraid of shattering her delicate sensibility.
