Saiyans disapproved of half breeds, considering them dirty, impure. Airil's Mother, Maria hid Airil for as long as she could, teaching him herself how to control his Ki and even to fly. One day, during training, two Saiyan guards attack Maria. When all seems lost, Airil, who is only 7, explodes into a fit of rage, transforming into a Super Saiyan, the first one to be seen in over 1000 years. In amazement and fear, the Saiyan guards run away. Going back into base form, Airil blacks out.
