Hi, I'm writing my own version of Journey to the West!
If you read this and the changes in this adaptation don't bode well with you, please keep your negative opinions to yourself.
PLOT: Tang Xuanzang, an extra-ordinary Shaolin Monk, is tasked to set out on a pilgrimage to the Western Regions to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
Along with his companions and boyfriend, they encounter a variety of obstacles and forms strong friendships.

Based off the movie Monkey King- Hero Is Back, so if you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it, because it is a great movie, even though it's only loosely based off of the original story Journey to the West. Dialogue is based off the English Dub version of the film. Honestly, if you ever go to watch this film, I reccomend watching the original Mandarin Dub before the English Dub. :P None of the characters, excluding my self insert, belong to me. Sun Wukong was a name that brought fear and respect to those that could convince others that it was their name. It had felt like the right name to have, a persona to fall into when needed. Then again, climbing the Flower Fruit Mountain during the coldest winter on the rumor that the higher one goes, the more fruits they would see, had also seemed like the right thing to do. But then again, what was Hua supposed to know about the mythical Monkey King? Most certainly not that he'd chase her back home! "Journey to the West" is China's greatest romantic chapter-based long mythological novel. This book simplifies it to enhance readability and help readers quickly understand the main plot of "Journey to the West". The story unfolds around the four disciples of Tang Monk. Tang Monk, under the order of Emperor Tang, goes to the Western Paradise to obtain the true scriptures for the salvation of all living beings. Sun Wukong, a stone monkey who once made a great disturbance in Heaven, was pressed under the Five Elements Mountain and then enlightened by Guanyin Bodhisattva and became Tang Monk's disciple. He is extremely powerful, with seventy-two transformations and fiery eyes. He subdues demons and monsters all the way and is the key combat force of the scripture-seeking team. Zhu Bajie was originally Marshal Tianpeng. Due to violating heavenly laws, he was banished to the mortal world and was mistakenly born into a pig fetus. He is gluttonous and lazy in character, but also has his lovable aspects and can occasionally play a role in battles. Sha Wujing was once the Curtain-Lifting General in the Heavenly Court. Due to making mistakes, he was banished to the Flowing Sand River. He is honest and loyal, and bears hardships and works hard without complaint.
