This Can't Be Real (A Superhero Story)
Book 1 of 3 in the Barron Series This book was re-edited roughly 4 times, each time in an effort to make the book less 'cringe'. The story is based on a game we used to play in my elementary school we named 'The Power of Cheese' between me and over 12 kids that we played every day at recess for (at least) 3 consecutive years. It was a roleplaying game where everyone had superpowers and controllable dimensions. In this new story, the characters are renamed (confidentiality) but the powers are the exact same. The plot was changed, but I kept it as close to the original without it sounding like it came from the minds of a gaggle of 10-year-olds. Characters were cut, the dialogue was refurbished, the jokes are more modern but still not as funny, and will probably be rewritten again. this is the new one, don't read the one one it's bad. btw pretty much everything is the same except thanks to simon (i'm adding the nightmare critters btw), i made crafty back into a unicorn and I plan to touch on that more. also the story will just be better thought out because I'm not just making it up as I go (what i mean is i was making new plot points without making an effort for them to flow smoothly into the previous ones in the last one, which is something i won't do here since i have a timeline for the story set in my head.) I also wrote out all the unnecessary characters, so now it's just the critters + anyone important to the story (say Godfrey, Elliot, Andy etc.) with all that mumbo jumbo out of the way, i hope you enjoy the new and improved smiling critters story :D
