**Book 3 in the Coda Paxton Series** My Aunt Callie always said I had to get back on the horse if I fell off. It didn't matter if I got bucked off, or if my cinch was too loose, or if I went to turn a barrel and slipped too far. I always had to get back on that horse before she would let me leave the arena. She'd tell me "Blake, you need to put on your big girl boots and get back in that saddle". So I did. That's how I grew up, riding with my dad or his sister every chance I got, and that's the way they taught me to live. If something scared me, they'd just tell me to put on my big girl boots, and that was enough challenge to get me to do it. Also, cowgirls don't cry. I'd never been much of a crier. Hell, I was known for being tougher than my cousin Kellan, and I was proud of that. I was proud because I was tough. Then, I met Coda. Coda was the girl with the whole world against her. Every time she started gaining confidence and feeling good about life, she'd get knocked back down. The thing about her was she didn't give up. Coda may have been a sweet, quiet soul, but she was tougher than any bull rider or bronc buster. She's the girl that showed me you can cry and still be tough. She's the girl that showed me what tough really is. Coda Paxton was the girl who made me want to put on my big girl boots and get things done, and not just because of the challenge. Some people are born to be on the back of a horse, Coralee Dutton for one. She's the youngest daughter of John Dutton's older brother Benjamin. John inherited the ranch because he was a rancher while his brother wasn't. There are no hard feelings, Benjamin is happy with his life and the brothers have a deep love for each other. Coralee has been showing horses since she was young and has gotten quite good. She started as a barrel racer and is now into reining horses. She is at the ranch because John wants to buy her a top quality horse to show and he's asked Travis Wheatley to bring some to the ranch to show her. Beth Dutton has always hated Coralee. Coralee is younger and prettier and resembles the tragic Elsa Dutton. She hates Beth's drinking problem and tries to stay out of her way, drunk or sober. She believes Beth is unstable and that only makes it worse. Travis has had his eye on Coralee for a long time. He wants to go out with her, hell, he wants to sleep with her but she means more to him. He's a playboy and a rogue and he knows it, but maybe he could change his ways if she just gave him a chance. He's older and feeling the need to settle down and Coralee could make him change his ways. For those of you who know my writing, I rarely try to include events in the original story, to me that's not creating it's copying. I noticed this when I wrote my Mummy story. To me that's kind of cheating. So, you can this story "based on" Yellowstone if you like. Travis is a character in the story and since Rip and Kayce are basically taken, I used him. Also, there are a lot of Rip or Kayce stories here, I wanted to write something else. Readers: I know ranching, I know horses, I studied equine science. Our instructor used to hire us out to his friends to drive their cattle for them. I participated in a cattle drive celebrating the San Antonio trail. This made this story more fun to write
Heartbreak Town (COMPLETED) by Cowgirl1515

Reagan Renne Walker left the tiny town that she grew up in in Wyoming five years ago to fulfill her dream of opening an equine therapy ranch in Montana & to start a new life. Reagan's parents died when she was just seven years old. Mallory, Reagan's older sister, was still too young to care for both herself and her sister. As a result, Reagan and Mallory were forced to live with their grandparents. Mamaw and Papaw Walker sent both girls through school and college. Reagan never imagined leaving Wyoming. However, after her unexpected relationship with Swayde, her childhood best friend, and love of her life, took a turn for the worst, all Reagan could think about was that she couldn't get out of Wyoming fast enough. Swayde is your typical, rugged cowboy. His smile was enough to melt any girls heart, his eyes made it seem like the sun was always shining, even in the worst storm, his square jaw line accented his dark beard, his body thick with muscles. His physical features and build were intimidating at times, and didn't always match his laid back, easy going, gentlemanly personality. Swayde never thought he would fall for feisty Reagan, and even more so, Reagan never thought that she would fall for him. They end up in this unexpected whirlwind relationship, and everything is hunky dory until Reagan finds out a secret from Swayde's past that would forever change the way she looked at him; a secret he kept from her for over ten years. Confiding in her grandma, Reagan finds out that her grandparents knew the secret all along too. How could the people she thought loved her hurt her so bad and keep this big of a secret from her for so long? When tragedy strikes back in Wyoming, Reagan is forced to move back to the town she swore she would never step boot in again, thus leaving her new life in Montana behind. Through God, can Reagan find a way to forgive the people who hurt her, or will she forever consider Alpine Ridge "Heartbreak Town?"
