The appearance of people with amazing abilities or powers came about quickly and violently. It ripped apart the world crushing modern civilization as we know it. Now about 60% of people have a power of some sort and normality is slowly returning to the world. Amongst the chaos a man, stowed away in a boat, reaches the one country with true stability.
The short story follows the hectic life of the hero, Twin Burning Barrels after she meets the mysterious and annoying illegal immigrant Sparks. The story of one hero in a super powered society begins with a bang.

Everyone has powers. They originated from a powerful god with immense power, who bestowed these abilities upon humanity because it had grown bored with the world and decided to give itself some entertainment, bestowing powers upon every human in existence. That would be passed down through generations, It runs in their blood. I've been lucky enough that I don't have powers that attract too much attention --- Everything was going great. Everything was normal. Until Jamie was forced to confront the reality of her situation. The mayor who has been running the NSA was beginning to take drastic measures. Sending many supers off to another island. Stealing their powers. Forcing others to betray their own kind.
