Meya is the youngest child of Tonowari and Ronal, making her the youngest sibling to Aonung and Tsireya. She is expected to grow up like any other Na'vi in the Metkayina clan under her families watchful eye in peace and quietness but not without the rules her parents gave to her when she started to grow slightly in her independence.

However, she was unaware that had to grow up in a world of war at her young age when Jake Sully and his family seek refuge in the Metkayina village from their conflict with the sky people.

Little did they know that trouble would follow within the couple months after being accepted into the Metkayina, forcing Meya and the clan into something she never thought to be brought into.
